Laughlin Nevada located 100 miles South of Las Vegas and 215 miles North of Phoenix AZ is fast becoming a world premier gambling, boating and golf destination.
Laughlin is located on the Colorado River and Lake Mohave. It is an area that is called Tri-States which includes Bullhead City, AZ, Mohave, AZ, Kingman AZ and Needles CA.
Unlike Las Vegas or Phoenix which are surrounded by a brownish haze Laughlin is known for its clean air and beautiful blue skies.
Bullhead City AZ located directly across from Laughlin and is home to an International Airport with direct flights daily. Due note - Arizona does not participate in Day Light Savings which means in the winter Arizona is on Mountain Time and Nevada is on Pacific time.
One big mistake we see is that many vacationers do not plan there trip well. As soon as you get into town you should pick up the Free Laughlin Paper and look for specials. Walk the River Walk stopping in each casino and sign up for a player card. Many casinos will give you "CASH" for just signing up. Sit back and decide what casino gives you the best buck for your play and stick to that casino. If you get lucky and the casino does not eat all your money in the first few hours you might be able to eat for free and remember gamble slow and drink fast. Drinks are free as long as you are gambling.
One of the best deals in town is renting a car. The same rental in Las Vegas or Phx will cost you three times as much.
